Mountain Flying

Mountain flying is one of the most enjoyable adventures you can have as a pilot. However, safely navigating rugged terrain requires specialized training.

To be eligible for Mountain Flying training, a person must:

  • Hold a current FAA Medical Certificate
  • Possess current Aircraft Liability Insurance
  • Obtain a minimum of 125 hours total flight time
  • Obtain a minimum of 3 take-offs and landings in the preceding 90 days
  • Aircraft minimum of 180 HP without prior approval
